Time Heals All Wounds

Not time, but acceptance.

Not forgetting, but forgiveness.

Getting away doesnt make it hurt less, neither will it help you grow. It simply gives you a temporary limbo, leaving you suspended: not sinking, not floating. You think that if you wait there eventually the tide will push you forward, but it doesnt. And you keep waiting for something to happen but nothing ever does. Except for the few instances when you realize that youve been staring at the same spot for hours, and the light has been replaced by darkness. Yet you’re still alone in your misery.

Time leaves you. It never waits and never sits still. Time keeps running and makes the world keep turning. Even as you grieve for your losses, even as you wail for something that was never yours, even as your hardened heart breaks.

Time doesn’t care. How can it heal?
