october 16, 2005 (i’m such a procrastinator..well, the thing is i have this logbook and i just rewrite here to post cause my logs are mostly numbers and short short notes..i’m mostly just too lazy to post..)

same transpo arrangement (please refer to previous post - part 1)..early early..with my still sleeping brain….

1st dive: CATHEDRAL visibility was okay..about 20-30ft. the halcyon eclipse was great! mostly felt like i had nothing on. all three students did so well..and as expected the little fish came for the feeding frenzy..manny lost his camera on the way, and dave had to go look for it on the surface (it’s one of those 700peso things that float instead of sink) and leave the guys with me. we didn’t do much, they were just happy to kneel there with all the fish swimming around them. average depth was 41ft, max depth 61ft and actual dive time:45mins.

2nd dive: ARTHUR’S ROCK vis was not so good at 15ft. saw lots of nice nudibranchs and some small clams. the guys did very well, and the exercises were done in no time at all. i had to bring the rope back to the boat and just caught up with them underwater afterwards. average depth was 29ft, max depth was 50ft, actual dive time: 49mins.

they really want to dive on a monthly basis after that. they even asked if i could guide them..alas, no license yet so..when i’m done with all the tests..hopefully soon, i could.
