supersized america

I’ve been in Hayward, California since June 1st.

Everything in this place is biggie sized. (food, drinks and clothing too!) No wonder people here get bigger all the time. Milk and eggs are cheap compared to my home country (Philippines) and meals can go as low as $2.00! (fastfood being the cheapest way to go..)

I find everything here so overwhelming. (and cheap!) There are shortcuts and quickfixes for everything. And almost anything can be disposable.

No wonder people are convinced that this is the land of milk and honey.

also, everything here must be done quick-quick..and you have to get an appointment to see your friends, because everyone wants to do everything in the shortest possible time.

I don’t think I can live here. It doesn’t feel right to me. I’m glad to be a tourist.
