paper-crap

I just want a day to be lazy - you know? Just one day when the Mister/Boss does not call me to ask me to do some paper thing for his business. Just one day.

Today has got to be a clincher. I woke up to an SMS from the Mister asking me to scan and send the contract he forgot to take with him. That same contract that I bugged him to sign last night. That same contract that he was supposed to bring to a lawyer and have notarized. That same contract that has been sitting on the green folder for weeks. We had a row last night about that green folder and the forms in it too. (well, I had things to say, he didn’t) He apologized for working me like a mule. How can he bloody forget????

This all feels worse than my previous job where the boss was a 65 year old man who forgets gazillion things every day. At least I can make him do things. This Mister Boss? It’s horrible. I write things down for him, make lists, sends him SMS, tell him, retell him, but he doesn’t do a bloody thing. And then days later he asks me if I’m done with his stuff. what the???

I suppose he expects me to take care of everything. Or he enjoys ordering me around all day while he’s at his day job, and then orders me around some more when he comes home for dinner.

Whatever happened to peace and quiet or happy to be home dear?

All this makes me feel like I am at the verge of imploding. God, I hope it’s just hormones.

  • Sounds tricky. Especially if he gets all focussed and tied up the way mine does.

That said, in this house, I’m the vague one and I use a pda or phone diary which beeps and tells me to do things. It works for me, an amazing enough fact, in itself. Have you tried him with one of those?

  • he has reminders on his phone but he looks at it when it alarms and then forgets about it thereafter. crazy right? I am attached to my pda too..it tells me when to get what or do what all the time… :)
