Curtains Drawn

In the room I keep the curtains drawn when I write. My head demands locked doors. Half the time I lose track of things that would be wonderful to write about because I was distracted by something infinitely insignificant. Like birds for instance and the humming noises they make outside my window. It sounds like they are perched on top of my window type air conditioning unit. They have completely succeeded in making me lose all train of thought.
