Friends
Yesterday I went out. Spent the entire afternoon out walking in an unfamiliar mall. Went to see Juno too (a really good movie). Had popcorn and fizz..(Coke Zero is not all that better than Coke Light, also I prefer Pepsi Max)
Mostly spent the day walking and talking. It felt like we were in school again. Except for that moment where I wondered out loud about those kids in school uniform strolling the mall during school hours (that made me sound very old, like someone’s mom). We looked into shoe stores hoping to find new sneakers for me because my old one is clinging on to dear life. Bought parmesan from the hotel deli too, although it’s still not exactly like the italian parmesan the Mister’s Aunt sends us. It’s closer than London.
For an entire day, it felt like we were just hanging out. Talking about anything that came to mind and anything we see. In spite of all the fighting and loving and arguing and hurting and laughing, and of all the wrong things that happened to us; we’ve managed to stay friends. It surprised me that we could go back to something from years and years ago.
So for today, I’m grateful that this Mister and I managed to stay friends.

Trust me on this one. Being friends, liking each other, being able to hang out, is the most important thing. Even the best marriages have hard times, shaky times, argumentative times or even just boring times… if you’re mates though, I reckon you can get through anything.
Cheers
