Antonio’s Car
My father has a nice car. It has that automatic shifting thing so I just have two pedals to work with gas and brake. I can drive.
I’m really not the best of drivers but I’m pretty safe. I know what to do, it’s just that cars are unusually attracted to me on the road. They have this tendency to drive into me. But not today. I drove today. I went places. I had a hell of a time trying to park on top of the curb and I actually broke into a sweat. But I did it.
And I didn’t ding the champagne colored car.
I didn’t tell my father I drove today. I’ll tell him on Saturday when I give him back his car. I’ll drive it to his house. He’ll probably freak out. But I can drive and I can park - just not as fast as everyone else.
It felt good to be able to do that. I’ve always relied on the Mister/driver/massager. I have not driven a car in two years (I think-maybe more?) and today was fun because I drove and parked and got back without dinging the car.
